The Community Futures Elk
Island Region (CFEIR) is a federally funded, non-profit
organization dedicated to encouraging economic and community
development in the counties of Lamont, Two Hills, Minburn
and the rural portion of Strathcona County. Strategies to
accomplish this include:
- Providing a website as a central location for the
public to find information and services in the area

- Promoting business growth by providing resources,
business training and financing new or existing
businesses.
- Creating employment opportunities by helping new
businesses develop, by helping residents in their job
search through resume training and through our on-line
Job Board, and by hiring and training young people
through STEP, CAP and Internship.
